Patriot cam(225/229 duration, 582/589 lift on a 114 LSA), used comp 918s, trickflow pushrods, everything else is bone stock on the short block, carbed with the MSD 6012 controller, spin my 2001 6.0 to 7200 as well, all stock with a Trex cam, springs and PRs.

Why take them up that high? They probably stop making power at 6500.

Trust me, it doesnt nose over even at 7200. The Patriot cam in a 5.7 runs to 6700, so a smaller cubed motor like this, it acts larger.

I think your carbed motors really change the tune of the LSX cars and they sound great.

It is super easy with the MSD box, you use a lap top and set it where you want, that is for timing, the carb on the other hand, if you know nothing about them, you have some learning to do, otherwise, a holley is simple, efficient and dependable.

Why 5.3? I did it because it will be my first boost project and i would rather kill the cheap 5.3 than the more expensive 6.0 learning.

The guy from the tire shop called. He said he likes your video and to do it again.

I know I liked it.
