If the hacking is what I think it is, then I don't think there's anything to worry about. It's an attack on Sony, not on it's consumers.
A kid "jailbroke" the PS3, then released a tutorial on how to do it and Sony decided to take him to court over it. The hacker group Anonymous decided to defend the kid because they think that since the kid owns his PS3, that he can alter the hardware in anyway he wants.
Anonymous threatened Sony saying that they would take down their sites and everything unless they dropped the case. I assume they carried through with it.
I personally disagree with both Sony and Anon.
