4.8 keeps overheating. HELP??

I have a 2003 RCSB with a 4.8 that keeps over heating. Ive changed the water pump and tstat twice and still pegs the temp at 260. Any idea's?

yeah its a clutch fan. I might try the temp sensor.

If it really at 260 it would be boiling over. Can you hear it boiling after you kill it? I would think if the sensor was bad it would peg out instantly.

Sounds like you have air in the system and need to bleed it. Give me a call and I can tell you how to do it. 281-701-1909

air in system?

check and see if fan(s) work.

coolant level topped off?

If the above 3 things are ok, time to pressurize the cooling system and see if it holds pressure.

check to see if there is cold spots on the radiator.
if there are cold spots could be you need a new radiator.
cold spots equals BLOCKAGE

could be a fan clutch also. mine was doing that for a while, never let it get that high though.

The impeller was not turning to move the water the way it should, changed the water pump, problem solved, I just didnt believe that a brand new water pump could be bad but it was.

New parts dont mean **** anymore , especially from all the "major parts stores" on each corner that we see.

Yea new is not necessarly a fix since new parts are made so fast and cheap.
When is the motor gonna be done in the TA ?
