**** I just caught this... are you ******* high? The Tundra wouldn't hold a candle to ANY of the new 3/4 ton trucks. When they add another 300lbs of torque to the Tundra and double their payload, get back to me.

I drive an 07 F-350 and I've beat the **** out of it pulling 30,000lb 40' goosenecks all over the nation, ranch roads and highway. This truck has an easy 20,000 miles of WOT in the Texas heat (btw, since when is west Texas always 120?) and the only issue I've had was a cracked egr cooler... not too bad. The Tundra would be a smoldering pile of **** after that.

Owns what exactly?

BTW, in my experience, anyone talking **** with a diesel in Texas isn't stock... hell my car has been beaten by a 3/4 ton RAM... with 7 people in it lol...

Yeah super stiff isn't good for holed up ranch road.

And 100k miles on a ranch road with a Tundra? Umm.... My dads lifted Titan has 10k miles, only been going down the dirt for a few months(5 miles each way) and it's already starting to sway on the highway. I bet by 20k miles it will be swaying well beyond my 140k mile lifted F250.

They aren't bad trucks by any means, just don't expect to tow much or beat it. They also get terrible gas mileage, my dads Titan gets 10 highway, 5 or 6 pulling a trailer and throwing a fit the whole way. I had to use my truck to help him move because he was afraid his would **** up.. 16 mpg pulling the same trailer hauling *** the whole way, plus my truck wasn't down shifting every 5 damn seconds.

Something is definitely wrong with your dad's Titan

So... how bout that ecoboost? I hope that it is as good in real world use as it is on paper. The idea of that technology being the future of 1/4 ton trucks sounds prettny cool to me.

In a drag race. That's about it, my friend.

And, I was completely just joking around with my statement.

Since when does anyone actually read ruthless Robbie's posts? He would've been on my ignore list a long time ago if it weren't for the fact that his posts are so assinine occasionally I need someone to laugh at and 99% of the time he delivers.

On the ecoboost note, I've seen a ton of them on the road here lately dp it seems they're selling pretty well. I'm interested to see what guys end up getting for mileage after they're broken in and how well they hold up.

Well I pulled the trigger on a supercrew XLT ecoboost last night. Loving it so far. I'm not real concerned about how well it takes major abuse. It won't see much except possibly towing the Z on rare occasions.

Thanks. This is all I've got for now. Didn't get home until late last night.

Nice comparison with a new RAM here. Coincidence.

Note the off-center front license plate. That's the quick way to identify an ecoboost from a distance. They left room for the intercooler to get air.

Congrats. I've been casually shopping for one. You mind PM'ing me how much off MSRP/invoice you got it for?

Nice, I'm interested see how you feel about being in an objective position. It's hard to read through Ford nutt hugger responses in the Ford sites.

Well I mainly just have first impressions so far. I've only put about 100 miles on it. The power steering is ridiculous. It takes almost no effort.

I like the sync radio much more than I thought I would. It is just handy.

It moved out pretty damn fast for a truck! Multiple people have reported they are neck and neck with the 6.2L f150's. Not sure what fuel was in either. The ecoboost adds timing with more octane.

The fit and finish on the inside is head and shoulders above GM imo. It is also extremely comfortable.

Blind spots are bad. You mainly drive with your mirrors. That's about all I've got so far.

I've actually never driven a diesel. These turbos are pretty small and spool in a hurry. I think the only "lag" is in the A6 tuning. It's a bit conservative on downshifts like any stock pcm calibration. I don't really go into boost as far as I can tell driving around easy. I pretty much drive it easy or hammer it. Nothing in between.

My wife bought an ecoboost a couple weeks ago to haul her horses around. I haven't used it to haul her horses yet, but I think it's a very nice truck. It's very smooth and seems very fast for such a large truck. It does seem to have a little turbo lag, but you get used to it after a while. I don't think it's worse than any other turbo truck. She's getting the fifth wheel hitch put on day so I may be able to see if it an really haul two horses with her big heavy trailer. It's only got about 500 miles, but it's getting about 17 mpg with about 3/4 highway 1/4 city driving.

Ive got 1400 miles on my EcoBoost now and I love it. Fords back seat has quite a bit more leg room then my crew cab GMC and it runs much better. I do like the interior and its got a 115VAC plug from the factory. The power steering is WAY easy on this truck, my wife drove it and even commented about it. I am getting about 16.5mpg right now. So far Im enjoying it!
