I don't think it's a case of not knowing the difference between rwhp and crank hp. I think it's a case of not knowing the actual crank hp. 612 was a proven chassis dyno rwhp number. 700+ is an estimated number I suppose. Probably pretty close to reality, but not a question worthy of pulling a man card. A CTS-V Coupe with a manual trans may only lose 60 hp between crank and the tires or it may lose 100. Hard to say without putting it on an engine dyno.
Regardless, I think 612 to the tires is damn impressive for a pimp package so I give LMR props!![The Pimp](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_pimp.gif)

Im going to pick YOU! Since you result to name calling, mine got deleted. Tell me how a car GM barely eeked out 550 FLYWHEEL hp becomes over 700? Im not hating on LMR I just believe in truth in advertising. The power as proven IS with their additions not before
So its more desirable to read....
LMR makes 600+ rwhp with slayer pkg. Next......

LoL, man I wish I had more time to be on this website to read all this stuff. Some of you guys crack me up. The dealers and almost ALL performance shops rate their packages off of flywheel #'s. This car makes 556hp from the dealership, we added over 110rwhp to it, with drivetrain loss occuring and factor in correction for dynos, this car is making 700hp at the crank. I am very sorry for the confusion.

It is true that dealerships and performance shops do display flywheel numbers on their packages. This is done to better market and sell their products of course. I think most members on here are more interested in rwhp than estimated numbers. Not that big of deal. Companies need to sell products and us car junkies need to find out the real hp.

The entire automotive world states crank HP numbers. Get over it if you feel that rwhp numbers are the only thing that matters. RWHP quoters are by far the vast minority in the automotive industry. RWHP is a good thing to know for yourself, but isn't the standard by which HP figures are stated.
I personally would prefer all vehicles get quoted at wheel hp, but they do not. I get over it, and accept that crank HP is the basis of comparison. You should too!

It is what it is though...I just ignore the titles, click on the thread, and view the information within.
Badass car regardless of what the estimated power is.
