Since we're full bore off track, LETTUCE keep it that way... I wish Spartan would release a lope tune like River City Diesel. SO worthless but I think it would be funny to roll around a C&C event loping its *** off.

I truthfully haven't seen the fuel only dyno numbers so i can't tell you what they are, but 600 shouldn't be too far off.

I grenaded my transmission while running some cars the weekend before Tx2k10 last year (a couple of them members on here). Too many highway pulls and burned out my clutch packs. (310 tune, stg II intake, 4" turbo back, around 550/1200 to the tires)
I bet that truck rolls out, the f250 is prolly around 420/750 and it's really quick down low. The dually is at like 420/850 and it's very quick mid range but it's just not geared for messing around. Taken a lot of cars out in the 250 off the line. Been wanting to run some people but no one has anything fast at my school. Raced a nova SS and just flat out stomped it.

Honestly how is the reliability of the 6.4s? I hear all kinds of problems with the emissions crap but Im considering getting back into a diesel and no matter the manufacturer the emissions is going out the window. Dodge isnt an option and I love the way the Fords look and the interior room, just leary of the 6.4s. If I got one it would get a Spartan tune and the usual bolt ons.

Also what kind of mileage are you knocking down with what tune on what tires at what speed? Whatever truck I get will be on 35" MTs, my old dmax would get an honest 17.5 running 75-80 on toyo mts with a mild EFI tune. Figure youre a good source for info since most of the ford sites as you would expect are biased and its hard to read through the BS.

Did the 08s with Nav not come with the backup camera? Some seem to and some dont, I definitely want a backup camera. Also seems the ones with the painted bumpers have the nicer interior, is it some sort of special package? Like this one...

Let's get way the hell off track.

Here's my heavy *** 2008 4x4 Mega Cab 6.7 Cummins with my old Edge Juice w/ Attitude setup. Short pull....47mph punch. It's faster now with the H&S 175hp tune.

Too bad the dodges are ugly as hell and come with a retardedly short bed with the megacab and too small of a cab in the regular "crew cab".

I wish you could get a diesel in a 1500 series truck, there were a few articles about a 4.5 Litre Duramax but it never happened. I like 2500 and 3500 series trucks, but have no use for one.

Unfortunately I don't think the 4.5 will ever make it into a truck.

A. I think the Dodge's look just fine.

B. The bed is a standard sized shortbed. I happen to think longbeds look retarded. Maybe it's better for pulling a 5th wheel with a cheap hitch? I'd rather fork over the extra coin for an automatic slide hitch than drive around in a longbed. Barf!

C. What guy worried about interior space buys a "regular crew cab" when there are 2 larger options available?

A. Subjective no argument there, I just don't like the older body style.

B. I've done the slide hitch thing in my Dmax, its a pain in the *** and the auto sliders for a good ones are 2k just for the sliding mechanism, not count the actual brackets and the head. I actually use my trucks as trucks, not just for ***** compensation so a bigger, useable bed is beneficial.

C. Can't get the big cab with a real bed without going to an aftermarket company so that's a mute point for me.

I like the look of the dodge and love how they drive. The back seats are way too small and the interior sucks but the 05 back with the black interior looks nice.

Fords have those stupid *** ball joints though, I test drove an 08 and it was terrible, wandered everywhere and slouched bad. I got a few vids of mine I'll put up, I got spanked by a turbo neon yesterday though .

It's kind of funny you bring up the "***** compensation" topic then turn around and talk about how a longer bed is so important.
I'm not sure your Chevy's bed is any bigger than my "retardedly short bed". It's actualy smaller in most categories. Or, are you refering to another truck you own?
Again, other than hauling a 5th wheel, I really don't see the advantage of having a "long bed" over a "short bed". Long bed trucks look like grandpa trucks.

Dodge:

Nominal Box Size: 6 ft. 3 in.
Length at Floor Tailgate closed: 76.3
Cargo Width: 70.2
Distance Between Wheelhouses: 51.0
Depth: 20.2
Tailgate Opening Width: 60.6

Your truck:

Length at Floor Tailgate closed: 78.7
Width - Wall to Wall: 60.2
Distance Between Wheelhouses: 50.0
Depth: 19.5

So what I gather is my truck sucks ***** since it is A. A Chevy B. A short bed C. Non programmed

I did however find the original window sticker and trailer wiring in the glovebox today.

Today I had the coffin sized muffler cut off and they ran straight 3 1/2" pipe with a 6" tip out back. Not much louder but I can now hear the turbo spool slightly. Hopefully soon I will put a real exhaust kit with a few other bolt-ons but nothing major as you guys have let me know how shitty my transmission is and of course if it has been written on Tech, it must be law!

You suck!

Get a CAI. They usually free up some turbo noise.
