He told me straight off that it was a clone but didnt bother me because its a sick car.
i dealt with nathan because title was still in his name and he told me his uncle was making payments to him and hadnt fully paid it off

Welcome to the School of Learn the Hardway !!! If your buying anything special do everything you can to verify it is what you think. That said it is a real sharp ride IMO. If I had the cash I would own it

Don't put too much stock in those Carfax or other reports either.......They only know what they are told. If someone "Totaled" a car and put it back together with cash just to resale it "not reported to the ins." then it will have a clean bill of health to go with its frame damage. just sayin.

It must not bother you too bad, you still have HOSS in your sig It does look like a nice car though. I've always wanted a HOSS hardtop as well.

This 100 percent. I purchased my 2001 Ws6 from Las Vegas and had it shipped here to Houston. I saw over 100 pictures and ran a carfax, it came back clean. Not untill about 2-3 months later when I took it in for an alignment did I find out that it had been wrecked and had frame damage. Real, real shitty situation.

RE: Carfax - I use Autocheck that has a buyback guarantee - I'd recommend them so even if you do get a messed up car like Hustle mentioned, you aren't out money for it.

RE: Fake HOSS... I would make a copy of the ad and take him to small claims court for misrepresenting the product. He sold it as a real HOSS when he knew it was a Z28. That's just my opinion - I'm not a lawyer

Whenever I posted was when he asked me to answer some questions about the car. I never really read his add, and also I did tell him when he mentioned selling it to be upfront with people because it would bite him in the ***. Hell I did not know you bought the car for a month after, I asked him if his uncle was still enjoying that obnoxious lm1 junk exhaust. Has the car been raced yes, but it had not been hacked up. The car sat in the garage 5 of the 6 years I had it, with out a engine, reason being I always had another car I was focused on. People that have been around the car know it was in excellent shape, hell Nathan bought it as a roller from me for 7500.00, it does not make what he did to you right.

But hey I wouldnt throw it out the door, its got a OEM SS spoiler and hood, who needs a SLP sticker inside the door?? Lol

Shitty situation able!

And ya ya its a door sticker and a logo, but i always get asked if my car is a "real SS" and it would be shitty to have to say "No, its a z28/SS clone". He bought the car specifically for the reason of being a HOSS. And you can Spell HOSS without the SS

I will trade your old blue car back for it haha
