Middle of the article....

"Significantly, Corvette won’t abandon its more classic powertrain roots entirely. There will be several different types of engines offered for the C7, including a more classic, big-block OHV V-8 designed to appeal to traditionalists."

Well - so much for the Vette. A uniquely American vehicle being turned into a knockoff of European cars.

I doubt its true they just announced c7s will be out 3-5 years and no one has seen any testing or spy shots so how would yahoo autos know anything about engine sizing? Probably just speculation with the GenV GM engines coming out soon

Haven't you peeps figured out that every new generation of the Corvette has always brought hideous rumors? The C6 was rumored to be a turbo six cylinder, the C5 was rumored to be a mid-engined configuration, and I'm pretty sure the history books day that the C4 was rumored to be a rotary engine. It happens every single time, and every single time its a rear wheel drive V8. Always has, always will.
