Default Here's my C7 rumor, the return of the 396/402.

I am tired of reading the bull **** rumors about the C7 Corvette from media sources that don't know anything about GM performance.

There will not be a C7 with a 3.3L DOHC turbo V8 with a 10,000 rpm redline. This isn't ******* Ferrari or Porsche.

I'm calling it right now. OHV 396/402 with a M7 or A8 transmission that will knock down 30+ mpg.

I'll eat my pants if I am wrong.

Does it make people that mad that the ~4.5ltr in the 458 makes more power by far than the LS7/LS1/LS3/LS2/LS6/etc.. Anyone that argues that at WOT the LSx motor sounds better than a Ferrari is an idiot!

Why does it matter what motor is in it? It's still a V8 and none of you have ever driven a stock style turbo car... I can tell you that for example my brothers 997TT is more responsive than his MTI LS2 427 when it comes to just driving around, etc... I don't see what the deal is trying to argue all of this. Just an FYI none of you know to much about DI and the complexity of the ECU's, etc... If you think it's going to be easy to do all this stuff you are wrong. As I've said a few times there is not a tuner in Houston (maybe even Texas) in the LSx world right now that has the software knowledge to write the software and everything.

Here's my C7 rumor, the return of the 396/402.-qmh2b.jpg

This is what is used to modify the Motronics and Siemen ECU's. This is just the software to modify it, not upload it, etc... Software cost is in the $30k area just for that portion of it.
