first off, you can fart in an ls1 and make 420whp
stock rods have been know to take 600-700whp
you had to have another problem
who builds a motor to make 420whp anyway?
i have used eagle rods in my motor built by me and they are doing just fine

It was built for spray, but never got to see more than a 100 shot before it fucked up. And peak power doesn't mean **** anyway.. The car ran a consistent 11.6 N/A on a nitrous tune, which I was very happy with for the amount of work it had done, which was basically nothing.
And congratulations douche stick, you're one of the lucky ones. My point is why risk a $10k motor on a shitty set of rods when a couple hundred bucks more will get you a much higher quality rod. My 347 **** canned after 1 year of being my DD, with weekend street runs and a couple track passes. Our 427 LS3, under the same driving conditions but subjected to a lot more abuse, on Callies crank/rods is 3 years old and makes over 1000rwhp on full spray and has zero motor problems.

I'm not bitter... You started the **** talking about my build. I was merely describing my experience with Eagle rods to inform the OP. You have a turbo LS swapped hatch that only runs 10.3s so I don't see how you get off on knocking my build... but whatever.

your right i do its slow, nothin great about it low boost and no timing, but dont have a 10k motor in it that popped in a year on a 100 shot. and i didnt start the **** talking. it was you that wanted pics of the carnage because you think my friend is making a bad choice on parts. instead of just saying hey man nice build i hope it works out for you, i have had bad luck with said part. to me your insulting my friends judgement.

no need for name calling, but i have less than 5k in my motor counting a brand new block and this one shouldnt be much more than that.
my point is just because you had a problem(especially at a low hp)doesnt mean everyone else will.
just because it cost more doesnt always mean its better
its cool, i got it. you just trying to help, i know.

dude first of all your being a little bitch. i smoked a set of oliver rods that cost 400 a piece, does that mean that i wouldnt run oliver rods or do i blame the rods. do i blame the oil system. do i blame the tune. hmmm well lets just say something went wrong. but hey they were suppose to be the best rods money could by right...

Ah, the name calling has reversed... But I guess it's ok if you do it, huh? And every part has a limit... but I don't know in what world the oiling system or tune causes rods to stretch, soooo yeah, brilliant argument.
And I too applogize west, I'm not hating... I think its going to be a nice build and I love the car. I'd just hate to see it fail over something that could be easily avoided.
LME just did the machine work and shortblock assembly/cam degree. Parts were provided by me, all brand new, and I put together the rest of the motor and installed myself.
I didn't talk to Eagle, because there was no point honestly. All they would say is the motor was over-reved or something along those lines and I can't prove otherwise. I know it wasn't and leason learned, is all there is to it.
And unless you have L19s, you're over the rated power of an Eagle rod anyway... L19s?
