What you're hearing ARE the stock cams...just without the computer controlled cam phasers doing so much adjusting to smooth out the car's idle.

I'm now angry, and a little ashamed, to own 2 GM vehicles currently. No more new GM vehicles for me. No more of my money is going to GM at all. Thanks to the aftermarket, this is pretty do-able. I know there are royalty considerations but it's nominal. Were I to buy a new coupe tomorrow, that Mustang 5.0 is looking pretty awesome. Combine that with the fact that Ford took no bailout money and didn't cost taxpayers $14 BILLION like GM did, I feel good about this position. Advocating raising taxes on your company's lifeblood? This guy is a socialist moron...redundant.

So you have a problem with the non-functionality of it? Sort of like the hood scoops on both of the cars listed in your signature?

I read this yesterday and thought the same thing about GM. I bet the opposite would be true too - if gas dropped to $2/gallon truck sales would increase.
I drive my vehicles WAY to long for this to factor into my next purchase, but just the fact the CEO is saying this makes me discredit the company some.

Good lord, please read more than the title. He's basically saying it would be more benificial to automakers if congress would raise the tax a $1 a gallon as opposed to imposing tighter mpg regulations on the manufactures. These tighter MPG regulations are what is killing all "big cube" motors.
It also stated that GM is not pushing this to legislation, it was probably just said in a press conference.
Don't blame GM, blame the douche in the white house whom has trippled our debt in just under 4 years.
Put down your hatoraid.

its a combination of all this stuff ie, akerson sucking a fat babies dick at almost everything, and the 5.0 being an uber bad *** engine that makes me really lean towards a new mustang 5.0 when i go to purchase a new car.

Not to mention, the same government that is imposing the tighter fuel economy standards is the same one that also passed the ethanol blended gasoline laws a few years ago, which ethanol in pure form has 33% less thermal energy then pure gasoline. So the automakers have to both improve fuel economy, while using a less efficient fuel at the same time...yeah, sounds about right coming from our great leaders in Washinton (rolls eyes).

Yep, if I was in the market for a new Pony car i'd have to go with the original one, which is sad cause I work for a Chevy Dealership I like the motor in the Camaro (LS3) but I dont want it in the shell it comes in now, I'll just buy one and fix it for my Camaro
