damn chuck thats a shame about the motor at least you found the problem before it broke a rod and trashed the whole engine, hopefully when you get it back it will run like a champ. with bad chad working on it it's in good hands.

Just saw this. I was not aware of an issue with the car. I only posted it here because my friend had told me how little he got for his trade-in and I thought someone could get a good deal on the car.

Sounds like a great job was done on that oil pump install.

I know you would have never of posted this if you knew there was a problem with the car. Even after the repairs Charlie still has a nice car and still less money in the car for what is it is worth.

Per the oil pump install, goes to show the "Professionals" makes mistakes too...

Done, I moved them to another folder so it messed everything up.

Here are some new pictures. The motor is in the car, waiting on the balancer to get here so that I can start it up.

How much $ went into the repairs if the owner doesn't mind me asking?

I'm thinking total investment was probably still a damn fine deal for that car.

I gave Charlie a deal on the work because he is a long time friend and he hooked me up on some parts in the past. I charged him $700.00 to pull the motor and install the new crank. He has about $400.00 into parts (Crank, fluids, belts and some other parts that were replaced)

So $6600 total invested on a heads/cam/fast/full exhaust/full bolt-on one owner clean Formula. Not too bad at all.

My bad on the intake. I looked at the pics too fast. How is the car not full bolt-ons?

Maybe I should have said full worthwhile bolt-ons.

The car pulled real hard even with the bad motor, I'm sure it'll really fly now. Those are some nice heads on it
