Default 00 Chrysler Sebring PROBLEM!

I have a 00 sebring jxi and i hate the damn car!

Im having so much damn trouble with it. I had replaced the engine and transmission already both used from lkq. Less then 50k miles each! Well when I start the car it hesitates to stay on! Kind of like a misfire from hell! It sputters and doesnt idle unless you give it gas. It also has like a clanking noise from the flexplate area. Like if some time of bolt is loose and is spinning inside and is clanking everywhere..

I have no clue what it can be. I have gotten under the car and try to diagnose the Clanking noise but thats as much as i can see. I kind of thought the starter noid was staying stuck out or something but I doubt it.

Any help is appreciated. Also if someone wants to come by and help me try and diagnose it id greatly appreciate it! I am located in duncanville tx about 10 mins away from Southwest center mall(red bird mall)

Check your MAP sensor if it has one. It is not the MAF it is a different one. Had the when I start the car it hesitates to stay on! Kind of like a misfire from hell! It sputters and doesnt idle unless you give it gas. Replaced the MAF runn like a champ. Mine was a 96 i think

Check the crank sensor it slide through the transmission case and is adjustable the bolt sometimes comes loose and the sensor will hit the flywheel causing it to make noise and run like ****. Oh you need to buy these lowering springs that will fit that sebring 75.00 new in the box.

the only thing that you can do to help yourself is to get rid of it.

my buddy had one and the same thing man. it just would never run right. every time he would get something fixed something else would break.

good luck with it man.

your 'clanking' issue makes me think about what i went through with my v6 DD camaro. the rough idle and immediately dying was due to the timing being massively off because i had the crank pulley misaligned (the 3.8L has a crank sensor behind the pulley, unlike the LS1)

and from me putting the pulley on wrong, i cracked the timing chain sprocket when the crank key pushed into it, which caused a 'clanking' when it ran.

not sure if the chrysler has a crank sensor behind the pulley like the 3.8L, or near the starter/flywheel like the LS1... but if its behind the crank pulley, its worth checking out.

I cant get it to start! i bought a damn voltage reader and according to the diagram the hot wire suppose to read 8volts then the ground in the middle then 5volts on the right ! only thing i can think of is the damn sensor it self! I guess i will have to purchase it later on tomorrow to see if we can get it cranked
