Yes, he picked up 43rwhp with just the cam swap and retune, it really is insane. Looks like he lost little to no low end ether....

depends on what gearing is in your truck. my truck is all stock and has 3.23 gears and it sucks, i wish it had 3.42's instead.

There really is no comparsion between the 4L60E/65E or 70E to a 6L80E, The 60E has a 3.06 first gear while the 80E has a 4.03 first gear. You'd have to run a 4.56 gear in the rear end of a 60E to get the kind of torque mutlipulcation the 80E W/3.42's has stock.

I had a 2006 GMC Sierra with some bolton's, Headers, intake, Tune and that thing was a turd with the 3.23 gears. If I were going to do a gear swap on a 4l60E truck it would be minium 3.90 gears or more, unless your going to put a big stall in it.

well mine has factory 3.73 tow package. its good off the line and and pulls strong. i have intake elbow and tune. i was talking more about better powerband/tranny gear ratio. like stomping on it while cruising to pass and you want it to go to 1st but only goes to 2nd b/c speed is too high for first and feels out of powerband. tranny gears seem to far apart. i assume 6spd fixes that.
