I like those sr9cs. My friend has one with a crimson trace on it. First pistol i ever shot with a laser. All i can say is awesome. amazing how deadly accurate you can shoot from the hip with it. definitely keep sr9c in mind and have access to one for her to test.

My Girlfriend carries two guns just depneding on whether she has her purse on her or not. If she is carring her purse she keeps her Sig P250 on her, if she is not going to have her purse with her she has a little Smith & Wesson bodyguard 38 which is a hammerless revolver. 95% of the time she just keeps the 38 on her since it is compact and easy to conceal.

I also think purse carry is a no no, if purse is swiped you are **** out of luck. If a woman is serious about carrying she needs to own a good carry belt, holster and the right clothes.

My wife and I both carry the S&W bodyguard .380...small, light, easy to concel, very low recoil, and it has a built in laser.... i love this little gun...
The only complaint i have with it is that is has a VERY LONG and heavy trigger pull.

I've got a px4 storm 9mm, FN 5.7, Kimber Ultra Carry II .45, Colt Series 80 1911 .45, Ruger .40, S&W .38 Special, and a Taurus 24/7 Pro .45. My GF carries them all, depends on what she feels like carrying day by day. she can shoot pretty good with all of them. her favorite is the FN 5.7x28mm Its really light and doesnt have much recoil. Now she wants an AR.

Same for my GF, we went looking several different places and everyone recommended a .38 revolver.. She shot my semi .40 and was a bit too much recoil.. She's 5'6 108lbs.
Several have said the s&w 442 is a great gun. I want her to get a lc9

My wife has the bodyguard as well. I disagree on the recoil. It isn't really bad, but I would not have let this be the first gun my wife ever shot. It is very small. She can carry it without it getting in her way. Otherwise it would never leave home. The laser is a nice feature. It would be a bitch to shoot with regular sites. The triger pull sucks. It is a very very very long triger on every pull. It is fun to shoot a couple of magizines out of then I put it away. Some of the early models had issues. We haven't. All and all I would recomend this gun to girl friend or a friend's girl.

My girl carries a Kel Tec PF-9. Its a sub 9mm. It's small and easy conceal for me but for her its kinda bulky. It kicks pretty good for it being a 9mm.
Here's me shooting the gun so you can get an idea of the kick.

Im a huge fan of the Xd's/Xdm's. I've got a sub compact that my wife loves and I have a service model I carry. Also have a Sig p250 for the house. Its dao and kinda a pain to shoot for newbies. I hated till I got used to it.

My wife has a Pink S&W hammerless .38
It’s a very light weight small gun that is easy to hide. She went with the Hammerless revolver so that she did not have to worry about cocking it, just aim and pull the trigger.
