thanks. there are several things on my setup that people didnt think would work well. Stock 317's, 3in crossover was thought to be too big, compression too low (8.5:1) small square cam with alot of overlap (236 236 .587 .587 112.5)
but it all seems to be working well together. no crazy lag and it's making some good power. the car hooks surprisingly well from a 60 roll too. 800ft/lbs at 4500 rpms and these little bald nitto DR's hold it.

People get too wrapped up in what sponsors are selling and promoting to make the next dollar. Not sure why someone would think lower compression and a square cam wouldn't work unless they just do what the Internet tells them. One of the most common cams used in a turbo Buick for years has been a 224/224 on a 110 LSA. If it helps NA it's going to help under boost. Are your heads ported JP?
