Default 2006 Cadillac STS-V
Anyone have any info on them? Had one etc?

Seen a 2006 with 50k miles for $23k

Is the northstar motors worth modding?

While its a nice car, the northstar is a junk motor IMO. Lots of oil leaks.

Supercharged V is alot more. STS-V's are superchargered. Wife nixed it and said wait till next year to but a CTS-V Coupe.

Then buy a ctsv first gen and put a blower on it. I promise you will regret ever buying a northstar

The first gen V's have weak rears, much like the 4th gen fbody.

It's not that the rears are so much weak as the car is just to heavy to launch with a 6speed at the track. Wheelhop is what kills them.

Why are the STS-Vs junk???

01 C5Zs had oil ring issues, but I don't recall that motor being, "Junk"

dude the northstar motors had terrible gasket leaks.. they are also dohc's a lil harder to work on IMO, or more expensive.
