Not really sure on the boost because Wally's dyno was just hooked up at the new shop and not set up to log boost yet, and Mark has zero insturmentation in the car.
Compression is debatable as there is no build sheet on the motor. I was supposedly in the 9's but Wally deciphered the sharpie numbers on the heads noting milling and it's thought it's low to mid 10's.

Don't get caught up in the details Mike.
When I was running a 3.25" on my LS2 and making ~14#. We put a 3.125 on his 402. I never ran that pulley but expected to make 16-17# on my motor. On his it's probably making 12-14#.

Glad to see you finally got it running right, mine's still a little iffy. You need to let me know when you can come by and see the truck ('55 Ford), need to make some decisions on it. It has a Chevy 350 in it and I was thinking of putting an old style 4-71 blower on it, or getting a 383 stroker in it. First have to pay it off before the mods start, suspension comes first. Good to see your still alive and out there, L8R ZFLASH

I think what Mikey was trying to getting at is even loging it with HPT you can do the conversion from KPA to PSI and would have a good idea is all Bill. But I didn't think he had a 2bar map or anything Mikey I think it was just a MAF tune is that right Bill? I'm with ya on the it doesn't matter really.

Yea I know. I was just busting his chops. I would like to knwo what the boost is too. No, no 2+ bar MAP either, so out of luck. It's a card style MAF tune on the LS3 PCM so its not like its maxing out the MAF frequency or airflow. A quick next step would be to swap in the ZR1 MAP which would allow HPT and perhaps an Aeroforce Intercepter to log/display boost and a step closer to speed density.

I'd go SD. Give me 1 reason not to on a boosted car??

Cuz a MAF tune is a piece of cake on an E38 PCM. 15k Hz limit and 4000 g/sec airflow limit. You only have to tune a single line instead of a map of cells. So in the 4" charge pipe the card MAF is good to ~900 RWHP before you run out of frequency.

SD tuning is not exactly difficult, and you are just tuning "1 line" on a centrifugal car in the end anyway.

I'm not saying it's difficuly to tune SD but there is no need if you can stay within the MAF limits. On my E40 i'm limited to 12k Hz and 512 g/sec so SD was a no brainer. RE: resolution you're losing resolution going to a 2 bar MAP as well. same-same. RE: weather, etc, most say a MAF accounts for weather and alt changes better since its measuring the flow, not calculating it based off of MAP, temp and RPM. But I have never had a problem with either method adapting to weather changes.
