He signs with the Angels for $250 million.

Angels = AL West

Astros = Joining the AL West in 2013

I =

Doesn't matter. We suck anyway.

I think he has seen his best days. I give it 2 to 3 years and he won't be much concern. I think this will be a very expensive mistake for the Angels in the long run.

I saw on the news this morning that the Astros have a new GM. Does it mean we might get some good players in the next few years? I'd like to have a good team in the near future. LOL.

This is the Angel's version of the Rangers' A-Rod deal. Idiotic!

i think Pujols is the deadliest hitter in baseball - i think he has about 5 or 6 years left in him.

he doesn't run out plays so his hamstrings and knees are fine, he plays first base so he doesn't have to move very much and he'll only be "32 years old" during next season.

he'll still be swinging the bat and putting up some big numbers at 37 years old.

that said, i hope someone kidnaps him in the Dominican Republic and force feeds him some anthrax.......

A ten year deal for Pujols is nuts. Too bad they had to pay him for all the stuff he's already accomplished.

Here's hoping Lidge finds a job in the AL West.

"Hey, Brad. Remember me? I'm the guy who RUINED YOU!"

The Angels just paid all that $ for an average 1st baseman who will be walked almost every at bat. Great decision!

He played like the CJ Wilson when it came down to the big games this past post season. Awesome in Reg Season but no better than avg when it counts.

Angels are ******* stupid. How do you pay an undocumented worker that much money? He'll be 46 when this contract is up.

Rascism is sometimes acceptable when it's funny but normally your comments just leave me scratching my head

Did you guys barely noticed the Angles stupidity?

I am Dodger Fan since I was in diapers (which wasnt long ago LOL) anyhow just by looking at their name you can clearly see how stupid the organization is, The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim!, their fans are retarded (mostly bandwagon, they got popular because of their 02 series win) and the city of Anaheim is known as something associated with Disney.

Albert Pujols sounds like a good man, with a good family. I think he has treated his body well, and is a durable player, so I wouldn't be surprised (though I wouldn't bet on it) that he is going to be a very productive player throughout the duration of his contract.

As a sidenote - I forgot about the Astros moving to the AL West. Sure, it made sense to move them to the weakest division, and to even the numbers out, but with the addition of Pujols to the Angels, and possibly Fielder to the Mariners ... the division may not be so weak anymore (aside from the A's/Astros).
