Default Should James Harrison be suspended?

For those who haven't seen it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfFW-...e_gdata_player
Personally I think he needs to be suspended for the rest of the season. This dude gets off on hitting people in the head and really trying to hurt them. In general I think the NFL is turning into a powder puff league with all these rules to protect the quarterback and how a defensive back can't hardly touch a damn receiver but the helmet to helmet contact I believe is just.

Yeah. That guy's a massive piece of crap.

I too think the league is getting soft, but that kind of BS is uncalled for.

Come on guys, this is the NFL. He can always switch to golf if he doesn't want to get hit. I say bring back the headslaps from the 60's and 70's.

Rules are in place. The players need to follow them. If they don't want to, THEY need to GTFO.
Besides, Harrison had 2 steps to pull away after McCoy released that ball. It was a late hit and a very cheap one at that.

Throw him out the league. His previous fines for illegal hits and now this hit shld definitely get him suspended for rest of season I hope.

The new rules for protecting the qb and players is great.

I agree with the suspension, that hit was just dirty. The Steeler's are pretty nasty in general, remember the cheap shot on Carson Palmer in 05, ball was released and Kimo basically tried to twist his leg off. That almost ended Palmer's career...

Agreed on suspension. There are alot of stupid *** QB Protection rules but that type of hit is dangerous and it was intentional

he has had a bad habit of leading with the crown of his helmet, after all of the previous hits he has done he needs to be suspended. if they are going to suspend suh this year this guy needs to be suspended as well.

Clearly intentional and late (McCoy has already passed the ball and dropped his hands at this point).

I too think the NFL is getting soft on some things. But this was no accident or even just a late "your my bitch" hit. It was clearly to try and hurt Colt. Why go helmet to helmet way late on a QB like that?

No doubt the league is getting soft and ruining a lot of what used to make football fun to watch, I couldn't agree with you more but the head injuries should try to be kept at a minimum. One of the biggest BS rules now is if a damn defensive player is falling and hits the qbs legged its a penalty wtf?! So stupid imo, but this is different. Even if Colt still had the ball in his hand Harrison shouldn't have hit him like that. Imo it has nothing to do with how they were taught. I don't know of any coach that teaches to lead with your head down like a bull, good way to get a compressed spine. Most coaches I've been around teach to lead with your shoulder so you can wrap them and still have vision to adjust if need be.

I'm for suspending him for the rest of the season. Fines don't mean anything to him.

If he does it again after that, he needs to be banned before he paralyzes him.

Edit: Still defending himself. He won't change - http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/73...orthy-fine-nfl

Uncalled for and the league needs to make it a 1 million dollar fine or suspend for the Playoffs.

You know the rules are leaning toward "soft", when commentators and analysts say they would hate to play defense, because of all the BS calls.

Come on guys! this is suppose to be the NFL. At the speed that these guys are moving what do you want these guys to do? I know JH has been playing a bit dirty for a while, but this hit wasn't that bad. You can not get the qb jittery back there without hitting him. It's football.
