That makes no sense at all, what do you want to do with the car? DD? Track only? Driveability?

Just call eps or pat g and have them spec a cam for what you want. A spec'd cam will usually almost always be better then an off the shelf cam.

A cam swap without tune is going to run you $850 DIY, and with tune at a pro shop $1,800-$2,400. If your truly poor..buy a $100 air lid.

Typically a TSP cam will suit your needs. With a 3800 stall, you could get a decent size cam, such as the MS3. That's the easiest route.

x2 on the custom cam though. Msg Pat G on here and he can set you in the right direction. That would be your optimal choice to maximize power and suit your needs in terms of driveability, performance, and the like.

Good luck with your builds. Everyone starts somewhere, just some get solid advice and some get jackasses with jajajajas as a reply.

I just thought the beginning of post #2 was funny so I expressed it. A search will go a long way, hell if he read the stickies or went through the forum in the new members section he would find all kinds of good information. Sorry you got your *** hurt from my reply.

If he searched then he'd dig up a thread and god forbid he post in it to get the "holy dead thread revival Batman!" remark. Not buthurt at all, but if I'm gonna take time to type, I might as well make it relevant to the situation or at least constructive.

Did you read the internal section stickies yet? It really is the best place to start.

well if you've been racing for awhile you should have a good feel for what kind of cam you want. They aren't drastically different from the SBC stuff. Just go to comp cams page or Thunder racing and you can go through all the Ls1 cams that are there. Its not exactly rocket science, just sayin...

If you're looking to maintain driveability, check out my thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...veability.html

A lot of good suggestions in there. Just do some searches and read. I'm so tired of reading about cams...
