a little poem for you guys on christmas 'Twas the night before Christmas and I got caught at the light,
next to a camaro and no cops in sight,
I will try, I will try with this small motor,
To beat this camaro, even with it's LS1 wheel toater,
As the light goes green and I pull like no joke,
The Camaro next to me erupts in clouds of rear tire smoke,
Now Smasher, now Revver, now Stroker, now Blitzin,
These are just 4 of the names of my 8 302 pistons,
Racing ahead I'm the star of the action,
But I know I'm in trouble when that ls1 gets traction,
Grabbing second, I hear the RPM sing,
My rear view mirror is blocked by my saleen wing,
I now hear the roar, of that LS1 gaining,
It is all I can do to keep this little 302 straining,
In a second, the shockwave hits with a blast,
And my feeling of winning now a thing of the past,
Don't bother with third, cause now it's too late,
Just try to act cool, like you can relate,
Looking up at the taillights as they got smaller,
The driver backed off just long enough to give me a holler,
"You can't win 'em all," he said with a wave,
"But maybe a Chevy motor will make the power you crave"
I smile and revved my 5.0 as he pulled out of sight,
Oh Santa please bring me nitrous so I can put up a fight!
