ive seen multiple gt500s run 14's bone stock even with good drivers...with my own eyes. with bolt-ons they get much quicker. my friends 07 saleen s/c (could possibly even be the one OP ran) is good for high 11's....what most heads/cam cars run. his 07 has bolt-ons and dynoed 502 at the wheels i think it was. was it a blue one driven by a white guy in his 20's? my bud lives near magnolia

could have been transmission issues, hence why you were able to pace it

last gt500 i ran into didn't whine actually. exhaust was too loud to hear it

so what you're saying is, when the engine is right next to me and the car is revving up, i won't hear a whine. but when the engine is 20 feet behind me and revving high, i hear a whine? makes sense

Really? 14's? I don't know which ones you were watching, but mine bone stock was ALOT faster than that. Then with the tune and pulley it would run somewhere in the high 11's.

Not to get into an argument, but what Carlos has mentioned has been my experiences as well. I don't know Carlos so I'm not just takin his side cause he's a friend. I haven't heard them whine from a dig but once they are going they seem to get loud. I guess it's louder when they are in their powerband.

Exactly what dgcustomz said... once its up in the rpms it gets loud. Unless it has a very small pulley or aftermarket blower its very hard to hear from a stand still sometimes with loudass exhaust...

yes really...thats what i saw as i said with my own eyes from the first gen gt500's, not a 2011 that is obviously leaps and bounds ahead of the first gen gt500.

and i believe the stock saleen blower only put out somewhere in the range of 4-6 psi. the stock motor cant handle a lot; surprised my buddy's hasn't popped making as much power as it is

Oh really.....I remember this......"I just did the 2.6 pulley, C&L intake, and Lund Tune. Stock exhaust for now.... made 535RWHP and 533 RWTQ. I am very impressed with these cars and G-Force's knowledge of what makes the most power for your dollar."
