Rear end advice. My rear howls when decelerating, as most of ours do, when going atleast 30+ mph. This past weekend i took a 500 mile round trip, howling up a storm when coasting down from 80 mph, but it made it with no problems. Would any of you (if you were in my shoes) consider taking an 1100 mile trip out to California in it? Everything else works great, the diff is the one thing that has me second guessing this trip. Any input will help guys 
Change the oil at the least and see what happens. My experience with decel howling is the pinion bearings are going out. Had this happen on my old Toyota truck and drove it for about another 50k before I changed them.
That's sketchy, especially on the open roads. If you dont have any other options but to take thie car then I would pull the cover, inspect everything, and change the fluid.

Mine used to do that too with my stock ring and pinion gears... Then I upgraded to 3.73's and there is still a slight whine but it's way quiet compaired to the stock gears. Sounds to me your ring and penion aren't shimmed correctly
