I can't get an insurance license because I don't have credit, so I'm financing a new truck next week to build it. I work at a machine shop now, I love it and it pays great. I'm kinda glad though, hunting down people to sell them a funeral service doesn't seem worth the bull ****, the machine shop is fun and I make more than enough. Their is a ton of plastic scrap and no where to put it, not to mention the huge shop being built just for those parts.

That is sweet. I need to find a secondary source of income to have more play money. That's even sweeter if the shop doesn't want a cut of those funds.

no need to buy a car to build credit. i'm in the mid 700s from paying my credit card off on time and student loans. if anything, buying more **** means you're tied up and you'll be less likely to get a loan in the future while you're still paying that sucker off

x1000. My credit score is up there too doing pretty much the same when I was paying for tv, bedroom set, car and such in time and definately give more that minimum payment and that will skyrocket your credit score for sure.

I have two automobile and a personal loan out, my lender told me that I would not achieve anything but finishing up my loan faster. He also told me to hold out the terms and pay your monthly minimum to maximize my credit earned?

Thats probably because your lender is trying to make $$ from interest on your loan.

Being a 700 credit score doesn't mean much if you're only credit is student loans and credit cards (Unless the balances are huge). I've seen people with 750 credit scores that have only had a $500 credit card for 6 months.

x2. always pay as much as you can afford. if you pay more than required, you'll start to pay off principle which means less interest. that is, unless they decide to be sneaky and apply your payments to interest, which only means they get paid faster

yeah im only 23 so i don't have a very long credit history, which is the only thing hurting me right now. it originally had a 600 limit, but they bumped it up to 1600 a while back. i was probably going to apply for a card with a higher limit and use it for gas while keeping my old one for little bs things just so i have the longer history. also, the loans total 50k, not sure if that helps or not lol

For awhile I was an 820 credit score due to me and my dad having the same first name, so his credit history was also under me also. Till they found out when I financed my third F-Body... Now a high 700 on my own

If you're a high 700 with paid autos there is no reason to slow pay your car loans. Your credit is already built.

And I need a new name, I'm not really young anymore lol.
From what everyone says, if you are under 30, you are technically still young. People still call me young, and I am 24
