Default any good machine shops in houston?

Head gaskets blew on the lt1. I am pulling the engine soon to start a rebuild and was wondering if anyone knows of a good shop I can take the block to? Hopefully on the NW side of town.

HKE for sure, but another respectable good machine shop is scroggins off mcgowen in downtown/midtown area. Quality work.

I think you'll have a hard time getting in touch with HKE and if you do it will be a long wait. They do great work, not doubt about it, but they are backlogged to hell. I had my iron block and heads machined at USA Racing Engines (The Wop Shop) near Hobby. They did a great job and Bruce is a great guy to deal with. Also Owens Racing in Pearland.

Another vote for Houston Engine and Balancing - they've been doing this for a LONG time!
