i've not gotten any yet.....but then again, as i've mentioned....i run the gopro in the gt. i don't have a camera permenantly mounted in the dakota yet, but i will be, since i almost hit a girl that walked right in front of me without even looking.....she was in a crosswalk, wearing dark clothes at night, and assumed that a 2.5 ton guided missile could stop......thankfully for her, i was paying attention, and missed her....but there was no stopping.

As far as my research finds; they are not an arrestable offense. You will get a bunch of strong threatening letters that read like smoke & bullshit, but they have no teeth. They'll even send what looks like letters threatening your credit. Their whole case and goal is to get you to admit guilt. Best thing to do is stonewall them -**** them, they can't do anything or they would.

I thought Texas state law said that an officer had to be present to issue a citation? I dont run stop lights, so Ive never had an issue with those, but I refuse to pay tolls (Dallas promised all toll roads would be gone by 2000, so thats when I quit paying). Never had an issue getting my registration, and Dallas says I owe them a couple grand in tolls.

All I can say is good luck renewing registration on the vehicle. Whomever is stating they do not enforce it is wrong. IT sucks but that is all they can do to you for it. I do not understand why the State is even doing that.

Haven't paid my ticket either. My car is still registered in California and I plan to keep it that way, so I'm not worried

I don't have a problem with it. I got one for making a right on red (when I lived there). Didn't get anything for cutting accross two lanes before the turn, didn't get one for the dark tint, didn't have to deal with a ******** cop nit picking to see what else he could get me for.

Well I am glad everyone hasn't had any issues. I was told this on a vehicle I tried to renew for. Ended up just getting rid of the car for a new one.

Guess it would def help not to actually be going into the tax office to renew.

I didn't read all of this, but you they can stop you from getting registrations and license renewals. The thing is that you do this through DPS and not the city, so until the city submits these tickets to the DMV, your fine. As soon as they submit them, your screwed and will have to pay them. Their systems do not work together automatically.
