it doesn't come into the cabin. it stops at the firewall.

did ya ever re-race him? like......after he learned how to drive it?

and i think you don't know those 5th gens very well. they're better looking, better handling, and faster than the 4th gens. just sayin.

aahh yes obiwan...but then what would the outcome be, if the mustang had similar bolt ons?

How many LS1's run 13.8 seconds? Exactly. Now I bet most Mustangs are easily capable of 12.7, and a few will do even better than that.
these seem to be different though....to me anyway....than the old 5 liters. i do think my car feels like it is perfectly capable of running a mid/high 12 second run. i do not, however, think that it can do that with me at the wheel just yet.

Correction: the sound from the tube goes into the cabin, not the tube itself.

Either way it's as rediculous as you not knowing how to use multiquote..

I have seen quiet a few 5.0 autos run 12.8x in good air. My 02 SS ran 13.24 stock, 12.7 with an air lid and open y-pipe. My record against the new 5.0 is two wins one loss, in my 4 door truck. Lost to Shelby on the street. Beat two stick shift cars at the track. Havent raced any in the SS.

Dammit!!! Well played sir.

And I do like the cars quite a bit, and I typically hate everything mustang except fox body notch backs. So that really is saying quite a bit.

I have been thinking a lot about this though with the Coyote...I have a feeling that there isn't a whole lot left to be gained by doing headwork, intake, exhaust work. Cams.. maybe. My point is, with the amount of power those (Coyote) motors crank out for their size it seems LS motors are leaving a lot more on the table than the Coyote, hence the reason they see such incredible gains from H/C/I/E changes. And I just don't see that happening with the Coyote's (the same amount of gains that is). If they do, then our LS's are in for a lot of trouble.

it's all in fun man.

i haven't been into one of these engines as yet. knowing ford, i would think that if one were willing to go to the hassle of removing the heads, there is probably a bit more than most would think to be gained by a porting job. same with cams. the problem is that those would be so dam expensive now, compared to an ohv engine.
