that sucks dude! i always thought if they hit you from the rear it was "Failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident" and it was always their fault... but it must be different in Texas than Illinois.

I did get stopped a couple weeks ago, I was going south on 59, I ran through 1st and second WOT to see if it was still missing in the revs because I think I got some water in the ignition, the officer asked if I heard of exhibition of acceleration, I told him yes and accepted my warning/coaching, I did not argue what I was doing, just accepted that what he saw was a guy hauling the mail, for no reason. I did not pass the speed limit, nor break traction, but I got his attention. Just warning, but he could have cited.

I've actually been quite lucky. Only got pulled over once in the 2 camaros I've owned over 3 year span. Cop was extremely nice, pulled me over for no front plate. Which I had in my back seat. Told him I bought it like that, he didn't even go look at the front of the car to see if there were holes to mount it, which there were lol. Just told me to put it on, but now I have a slp grille so that's not happening lol.
I got pulled over in my daily bone stock 240sx 3times in the first 4 months I owned it. Ticketed once cause I was doing 10 over the speed limit, not paying attention, cause I was trying not to get rear ended by the guy flying up on my ***. He gets the cops attention then he jumps on the highway but I didn't see the cop in time to get on the highway. So he pulls me over instead...
Other two times I got pulled over I was like u, polite didn't give excuses. And I expected to get ticketed but they let me go. Guess its just the luck of the draw.

.....,I've been pulled over 39 times and only been ticketed 15 times in my 9 1/2 years of driving. lol, only, right? Not all of those are speeding though, some were stupid tickets. Of those 15 tickets, I've probably had 4-5 dropped. Now, that's a 1:3 ratio, 33%, not too shabby I'd say. ....,

People suck in this life, and many of the people who suck just so happen to enjoy spreading their assholiness to others via a badge and a gun. Ever been in a courtroom for 2 hours listening to case after case of registration and inspection tickets? I have, and it's hilarious how much money they generate just sitting there and writing bullshit tickets to people who can't afford them. Did I mention that this happens in a city where theft is pretty high? I didn't because it seems they really don't care - no money, no care.
