The thread is talking about light duty engines...which means most of your posts/points are irrelevant.

the 6.7 is a light duty engine...as is the duramax just in case your big cam cummins got in the way of seeing that.

I agree that the 6.7 is light duty. But, the 5.9 Cummins was originaly an equipment engine, and designed for heavy duty use.

I have 03 dmax 110k straight piped hypertech programmer on level 3 and haven't changed it. Yes it is a small tuner but it will roll the tires the front suspension on Chevys do suck we all know that but I love my truck 22mpg on the highway at 80-85 right at 17 in town for a 4 door short box 7k lbs truck I can live with it my old gas 4.7 dodge couldn't do It and it was a short box single cab

Ive had two dmax for work. An 07 3500 and a 11 3500. Both stock. And both very overworked. They do have same problems every other truck will have. And dodge is getting the exhaust fluid stuff next year. Ive run across cat scales weighing 33,780 lbs with my 11 3500HD single tire. The ford dash is different giving more interior room up front. Dodge gives more cab options. Only aftermarket on my truck is 5100. Bilstein shocks. Ive got about 56,000 now on my 11.

There is a nice '09 GMC Duramax with a 6" lift up at Clear Lake Dodge unless it is already sold..
