Ls1Tech long timers where are you?
I come and go through here looking at the threads of late and miss the great knowledge and conversations that were present in this section in the past.
Those that do post here now hardly have any post counts and all the guys from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4 years ago have disappeared. It seems as though Jr. high season is open here now.

I'm coming up on my 10 years and I have to agree with you. People get older, move on, get vettes, etc. It's been commented before, but the cost of 4th gens are dropping and everyone and his grandma can get into one now..

Definitely understand the moving up in the foodchain. The 01 WS6 is now gone along with the college apartment. But have a nice house a great wife and a short crew in the driveway and a 06 GTO on jackstands these days "10 years later". And my wife just thought I was joking when she saw my brother and I building the 6.0 for t/a in my living room when I we were in college.
Glad to see there are a couple still here every now and then I see a post from nineball this sites great founder. I guess we all just lurk here these day's and comment sparingly..

It's almost been 5yrs for us. Currently building a 2000 Z-28. I'm on here every day. A lot of time in the classifieds searching for deals. That has payed off well so far. We are close to being finished with it. The quality of a post / thread has gone down for sure. I read the good ones and ignore the BS.

Most of my posts were in the handling and detailing sections, but since I don't own a 4th gen anymore, I don't have much to contribute to those conversations. I still lurk and post now and then, but mostly I come in, browse, and leave.

I come in and read occasionally and mostly leave with a "facepalm" effect. The crucial knowledge that was present on this board early on has certainly degraded. It's a shame too but like all things change, so does the demographic of ownership for any performance car genre. If you want to feel better about it though? Go read the drivel at Camaro5.
