iPhone 4s standby is 200hrs
iPhone 5 standby will be 225hrs
Your phone probably did well because it did not have LTE running, unlike his S3 which sucks down battery life. Plan on getting spare charging cables/adaptors.
-very nice
Removable battery
-Not really a big deal for me
Expandable memory
-Not really a big deal for me, especially since the biggest iPhone has more memory than my Macbook air.
Standard USB
-Jealous, at least the new iPhone cable is reversible however.
NFC
-As I said, makes you more susceptible to identity theft. Plus, very few vendors actually have this. And Apple gave us passbook which is nice and almost as convenient.

-The previous 7 items (and share shot) are just Samsung's way of doing things, just like apple has 'Pinch to zoom' Samsung has 'tilt to zoom.' They serve merely to distinguish the S3 from other smart phones, not to elevate it above the iPhone. iPhone has many similar or comparable features that the S3 does not have.

-Also Jealous again

-Apple has iCloud
Regular micro Sim card
-most Phone users are going to put their SIM in and forget about it.

The only things I see in this list that I wish iPhone had is longer battery life and maybe mini-USB. Some may want NFC but i would use it maybe once or twice before the iPhone 5s comes out, and it just seems like a big security risk at this early stage.

It's all preference anyways. Some like how android phones interface is others like the iPhone. Personally I hate android phones and they all pretty much do the same dam thing. Just depends on what your using them for.
I loved my iphone 3g back in the day but seriously, get with the times... the iPhone is RARELY updated and even when it is changes are minimal. Its a great looking phone with a great design, and I love the physical phone itself (aside from a small screen) but the OS does nothing for me. Android is def more customizable, especially if you root, but for most things you really don't even need to. I have the S3 and im rooted, but I get quite a bit better battery life than my buddy's 4s, and have a bigger screen, plus wifi tether if I need it, plus NFC (which is useful, if you decide to use it). Siri blows anyway, Google now is better IMO. I'd also much rather an open dev community than an OS that is so far from open source. I can theme my phone, download modded apps, delete or save anything I want (go grab an iPhone and let me know if you can download MP3's or zip files or something of the sort with the browser...)
So much more I could add, but I'll end my rant here.

Where did you find the information about standby battery time?? because on the galaxy s3 website, standby time on 3g is 12.5 days which is 300 hours. and on 4g its 8.3 days which is only 199.2. and most the crap you mention is mostly difference in software and what makes samsung different from apple.
