Default Need help!

I broke a spring and bent the valve on my 02 Camaro. I replaced the valve, spring, rocker, and pushrod. Now when the rocker is torqued to 23ftlbs. the rocker is loose still, any suggestions?

How loose is it? There is supposed to be some play in the rockers. SOME play. Did you pull the head to replace the valve?? There is a sequence to tightening the rockers and different ways to do it, search it!

Yes I used the correct sequence when torquing the rockers. I know some will have some minor play but this rocker has A LOT of play I was thinking maybe the lifter was bad, but the pushrod was moving up and down so can the lifter be bad if its still moving?

New valve could be shorter than the old one. this would cause play.
