Default Houston Engine Builder

Hey guys,

I am looking at some engine builders in Texas and one of the ones that popped up was H-Squared engines. Has anyone done anything with them? they are out of the Houston area and came across them while surfing craigslist.

Getting quotes on shortblocks and the gentleman I have been talking with seems like a great guy offering alot of help and advice. His price seems good too, but I am fully aware of "you get what you pay for"

HKE, LME, Thompson Motorsports (Nevada Tx, near Dallas), Texas Speed, Kim Barr Racing Engines, USA Raing Engines. Each of these builders has a good reputation.

Heard of all of them and I am working on quotes from all of them. H-Squared was a shop I am getting quotes from too and just wanted some feedback. Believe the owner used to work with Eric from HKE for awhile.

Bo/Halston at H-Squared is a good guy and has a good amount of LS and other engine building experience. He did use to work at HKE for a good while. I wouldn't hesitate to let him build my engine.

My question is why do mods delete posts when ppl give their experience about a sponsor? Don't u think we as the customers want to know if and when a sponsor doesn't treat the customer right or does a poor job? I just don't understand

Bo has been extremely helpful and I am really considering having him do the engine. I am not advertising for him just looking for feedback.

Because sponsors are protected on here. Look up the Ky turbo thread. People had bad feedback and it was covered up because he was a sponsor, then all hell broke loose and **** hit the fan when he was no longer a sponsor.

While it's OK to share your experience going to a non-sponsor, the LS1Tech rules strictly forbid posting contact information for non-sponsors. The deleted post had contact info for the non-supporting vendor. LS1Tech is not Corvette Forum and we do not protect sponsors who are shady or behave badly. There have been numerous sponsor who we have dropped for poor business practices. Admin.
