To say its out of my leg holster or my waistband holster, it usually goes in my console till I get where im going then back on me. A gun in the car is only good if you're in your car and how often do people get mugged in their car? IMO to get me out of the car you would have to have a gun already aimed at me and in that case i wouldnt go for my gun anyways they have the distinct advantage. and if they dont have a gun how are they to open a locked door and pull someone out with a seatbelt on before you could drive away?

Mine is always in a holster on my hip when I am in my truck. Never know when you have to jump out quickly and it is hard to dig around in your console or between your seats. Believe me I know!

In my T/A and Max, I keep it in the center console. In the Suburban, I keep it in a black zippered pouch (it's actually a carrying case for a universal laptop power supply), unzipped, in the door pocket.

^ 2009 it changed.
Also be very ****ing careful about keeping a gun in the car. Don't be the dumbass that forgets it in there and puts another gun in the hands of a criminal.

I keep it in an unzipped backpack on the seat. I was taught its best to keep on your left side, so you can draw your weapon less conspicuously in the event of a car jacking. You don't not have to show the cop anything unless they ask. Learned that from a 30 year veteran of the police force who trained me for my CHL
