TX2K Carnage Report
Post up about broken ****.
I lost my Viper's clutch grabbing 5th gear on a pass Friday night. Ram dual-disk setup. It has held 1,100 rwhp or so like a champ until then. The car was still drivable, but not under any amount of boost. Would just slip. I was able to drive it from Hardy back to Mullets, and on/off the trailer. Here is what I found today:
Seems okay, plenty of friction material left, no major hot spots.
Aluminum flywheel with steel insert. Still smooth, no damage evident. Oh, hello solenoids hiding on back of engine
Slave cylinder got a little melty. Will replace it.
Splines a little tweaked eh? Hmmmm
Rear disk looks good. Nothing to see here.
Front disk. What is missing here?
Mothafuka got no teef!
Summary: Viper + N2O TARK = converts dual-disk into single disk.
I'd also like to point out that I had the transmission and clutch out of the car in 1 hr 10 min, by myself. Corvettes be jelly.

Man That is a First for my seeing that happen on a clutch. Crazy.
I separated the balancer on my C5 on weds night doing some pulls. Tried fixing it at the omni. Wasn't gonna happen lol. Thanks to Stephen and Nick and the guys at SeriousHP. They got me going again and I ran a 10.6@138 stock bottom end LS6. Great group of guys.
They also got us some dyno time and I touched up my buddies Cam/150 shot C6Z. He ran a 10.3@145 on the jug and 10.7@135 NA.

Yes, 345 wide 18 M/T rears. Ram is going to make me another set with thicker splined hubs, that should help a lot. Load will be spread out across more surface area. I love the way this clutch worked, it never slipped before.

I figured something was going to give when I saw that picture of your tires, I was surprised at how that broke though!
Those V-10's give a whole new definition to torque. haha
