Is a GTM a kit car you throw on a Corvette frame?

no. a GTM is a kit car that you take parts FROM the Corvette to build up the GTM. things like control arms steering column reservoirs etc etc.

Ahh ok. Figured it was something between the two. How much do they run?

all depends on the builder, but average between 60-75k which IMO is a great deal

just depends on how much you pay for your donor car and how much of the work your going to do yourself

I've seen some post up 55Kish to complete theirs. but on average it's 60-70K. Some of the builds like mine run far more than that. This kit car is one of the more difficult ones to build. The body does not line up, it's not symmetrical. The instruction manual is not the greatest.. There are a lot of things missing and and or simply wrong in it. The instructions on important things like adjusting and setting up the doors, windows, ect.. are extremely vague.

Thanks All for the comments. I don't get to get on the boards and post as much as i should. This has been a 3 year long project. I'm almost done, I still need to get the A/C hooked up and finish the bodywork. Once that's done it'll be inspection/registration time. It'll be out and about here and there to stretch its legs on different occasions

it was/is a fun project! car straight hauls ***, and it makes all the right noises between cam lope, turbo whistle, and blow off valves, very cool.
