Gtm build thread: lots of pictures
Several years ago I purchasing a GTM from Factory Five. I never made a real build thread so here it is. The car is driving and on the road i have a few more things to get done but i'm having a blast in it as it is now!
People have been asking me for pictures so here they are.
Delivery day!
Suspension started:
All the panels. I sent out for Powder coating.
Panels going on:
you start off with something like this (C5 steering column):
and you turn it into this.
The final product is....
steering finished:
Pedals in:
Master Cylinders in:
Gas tanks. I originally went with the stock C5, i swaped these out and put in some aluminum tanks.
Wiring Started:
This is all mocked up to test fitment.
The passenger side interior in. I had a lot of fitment issues, so wI had to do some modifying to get it all to fit right.
One the guys on the GTM board sells fiberglass roof and roll bar covers. so i bought them and had him put 2 gauge pods on the drivers apillar. I was just test fitting it and it looks like It'll need some added attention to get it to look good.
Part to coming shortly.

The motor:
Some fuel parts:
Fuel system installed:
I purchased some aluminum fuel tanks. Now i have to modify the install for the new tanks. These will be better then using the stock C5 fuel tanks.
Motors in the car!
Tranny is in! The tranny is a ricardo box from a Ford GT, it should have no issues with holding the power.
working on next post...

Tiago deserves his own post. I have been friends with Tiago for a very long time dating back to my V6 camaro modding days. Tiago and I have worked on many projects together and the man is simply awesome. I moved the car over to Tiago’s shop and we worked on the turbo kit. Thank you Tiago!
Tiago's **** in the next pictures!!
