Right and it's "run what ya brung". Sounds like LMR brung some surface prep and the OK boys got scared and put up a fuss. Total speculation on my part.

True, but I wouldn't have to pay extra for it to pass.

theres a few Evo VIIIs floating around MN/Fargo that would make these "streetraces" look like a complete joke.
AWD doesnt care what track prep is.
Of course having 800+hp helps too.

Lol nothing like 800 going through a little Pepsi bottle four cylinder barely holding on to life. Wrong buddy. My turbo junkyard 5.3 will put a hurt on a never spool 800 hp (and like a 500 rpm band at near 10k rpm) useless ricer.

Farmtruck is the only one that has been shown (unless I missed a episode) driving on the street.
I know for a fact MurderNova will drive his car around town sometimes. There's even some cruising videos of him doing that floating around somewhere.

But if you're prepping, then that's not street racing.

Why not? In the grand scheme of things, it's no different than doing a burnout to make your tires stickier.

One of the only episodes of this show that I watched showed one of the guys prepping a bit before his testing. If they do it for testing I am pretty sure they do it for racing. I wasn't there, but they may have realized they were better off with no prep to ensure LMR was at a disadvantage.

Years ago when the Chicago guys came down here to race houston they were shown the roads, they were let do their prep, he'll I even think some of the Houston guys did some prepping for them and they were given a couple of different choices to run. Didn't see any problem with that. That was street racing or so I thought. But I guess with all these new definitions of what street racing is we should just all go back to racing stop light to stop light on westhieme. But I'm just an on looker thought I d throw my .02 in.

Since when does a street being prepped define a street race?
A street race is two cars drag racing on a street. Could be 2 daily drivers or two full blown, full tub race cars.

Trust me those guys would have no problem handing an 800 hp AWD their *** and make them eat it. The Sonoma has a 632 BBC with 3 kits of nitrous, and for the most part can hook on the street. The murder nova has a 572 bbc with an F3 blower and puts down 1900 rwhp but sometimes has a hard time getting it all down. About the best an 800 rwhp AWD car would do is about #7 or #8 on the list, maybe...

Not many people do that, not even in Texas. Everyone is afraid of getting a felony on their record which is why I don't street race either. They've carved out a niche for themselves, and will likely be on top until more people get in on the action and figure it out themselves. But most people that have that kinda money to build that kinda car are smart enough not to get involved. There is alot at stake, you could lose your 100k ride (and it get sold at the next police auction) and get a nice fat felony on your record, not to mention thousands of dollars in attorney fees. Not my game, that is for sure. But you know those okies, their kinda a special breed, LOL As the sonoma driver said over on YB, it takes a special kind of RETARDness to street race like they do.

And what even further enables them, if the cops do come, they could all just claim to be having a car meet, show off their rides. About all they could get a ticket for is tires. They don't require state inspection in OK, just buy a tag and slap it on.
Street racing is not a felony. It is a step above a class c moving violation, making it a class B. just to clarify you ignorance of Texas law. Lol
