I want to pick one up I have seen some going for around 30k, with my trade in it would be doable. Still can't justify buying new though, the depreciation makes it not worth it. In 3 years I can get one for half of new price

Once the gen 5 5.3s become plentiful and people start pushing them with boost, the power numbers will dwarf gen 3/4 turbo 5.3s. GM engineers designed the gen 5 combustion system with the objective to reduce detonation tendencies. Apparently, it's much improved for the gen 3/4 engines.

I bought a 14 Double Cab Sierra Texas Edition with the 5.3. Traded a 2009 D-max because I didn't need the D-max for daily. This truck is MUCH nicer on the inside and easier to drive. The D-max had EFI Live and all of the goodies, just wasn't a practical work truck. LOVE the new body and interiors.
I bought it for 32.8 Sonoma Red. In San Antonio

Ive had my 14 GMC All-Terrain now for 3 weeks and love it. Traded in my 11 GMC CC Texas Edition w/34k miles. The new platform is no comparison to the old in my opinion. If you opt it out nice it doesnt even feel like your driving a truck. As for mileage goes, my commute to work is about 10 miles on smooth, flat, blacktop so I'm averaging about 24-30 MPG @ 60 MPH with the truck staying mostly in V4.
