Quick AND Fast. Quick OR Fast. Quick and ET for the win.
I don't golf but they say: Drive for Show and Put for Dough. Some kind of BS like that.
Our world is a lot like that with ET and Speed. How many times have you seen a poor launching nitrous guy count on a big shot in third gear to win. Rarely happens on a hard launching, well set up car. (Not suggesting or hinting Scorch left soft either). More of a response to Nick's comment.
Two hard rocking cars right there for sure. Today was Train's day. I am sure they will burn some fuel again.

Scorch said he turned it up to kill and Fr8train said he turned it down to hook.Either way they have both been faster but on that day Fr8train's 8 sec car crossed the finish line first. The rematch will happen but im just glad that after so much trash talking it finally went down.

It went faster in that run, plain and simple. That's all I was saying. It's not like Scorch was running a 10 at 166, he just left a little softer than normal. If you want to go by quick AND fast, you need to go by whatever their quickest runs are, period. A single error could change the outcome of a single race, but it doesn't change the fastest those cars have ever gone.

I agree with you about these two cars. I wasn't trying to contradicting your statement as much as the way a lot of guys don't comprehend how important that first 180 feet are.
Yes on the 12 mph being a lot on the back end. Train might have had more in the bank too for that matter but it looked like he had earned some on the tree.
I wish we could see a lot of this kind of racing locally or maybe some Old School Nostalgia racing with Gassers or Antique style nitro cars.
