Only got to make it out one night but had a blast. It was definitely a gamble doing any kind of street racing this TX2K! Cops were everywhere! Here is a picture of my buddies procharged Z06 we had some fun in. Ill post a few videos as well.

Yep i remember that. that was over in that parking lot in katy. When they used to host the meet off site and not at the event . IDk why they put night meet in there . I was at RPR till they closed on fri and there was no night meet . The marriott off westchase was the spot though that were we went .

This was my first time attending Tx2k16. I got a few pics but nothing worth posting. I wish I had gotten a chance to attend the event the previous years. Is the Marriot the place that everyone usually meets at for this event? I wish I could have seen some of the Mexico runs.
I did enjoy my trip home though. I got a chance to tangle with a yellow GTO and a Grand Sport Corvette.

The good days were back when it was called supra nations, the real Mexico runs on 10 and 99 were among the best runs. I-10 at the time just opened from the expansion and katy was still relatively small. Made High School a lot of fun for me

Was such a flop from the normal. Glad I enjoyed several years of it before it turned to this. I took Friday off to go run around Thursday night. Nothing. Police were on top of the game. Friday was **** as well. Saturday was not bad. Went to RPR and then there was a dog spot that I was surprise lasted as long as it did. Watched boosted GT get drug by black Jesus turbo LS fox. James K made a good pass and won some cash.
As for how much power you need? ****, I just enjoyed rolling around in my stock 02 SS and the wife was in her stock 98 TA. Both have tunes, exhaust and lids, but it is fun to cruise.
Now, when the GTR made its first appearance, that was a fun year. Drug the paint off one in the old 89 RS with the 6 speed 6 liter. Was very fun doing that. Even running a TA that was turbo setup before he wrecked was fun. Car made 900ish if I remember. He let me take the hit and I held him back as long as I could befor he came around. Was all in good fun, and he even complimented on how long it took to catch my ***.
So, no need for big power unless you want to forgo set the world on fire.
Shittiest part was dig night getting cancelled.
Next year I hope the dig night works out and I have my next project ready for war with the small tire event.

TX2K only sucks if you "have" to street race. IMO it's not worth the risk to run at night anyways. I went to a few night meets this year and it was stupid. I'm glad I'm at home on the track. This year was a blast. The car got A LOT of attention. I ran 170 in the roll race event (test and tune) and took out an 1100whp GTR USE. The car ran a 9.1 @155 spinning the tires (tires are shot) it was a blast.
