Default Purchase price left over new 2014 cruze diesel?

I found a brand new never purchased 2014 chevy cruze diesel sitting on a dealer lot. I am looking at for my daughter who is 17. These cars seem to have a weak resale value with the diesel being even less than the gas motors.

The MSRP is 28K seeing as the car is already 2 almost 3 model years old but still brand new what kind of price do some of you think should be paid for a car like this. KBB on a excellent condition 2014 cruze diesel with 10 miles is like 15,500 If theres any sales guys in here that insight would be nice.

If you want it. Low ball it until they sell it to you.

Invoice for the base diesel Cruze for that model year was $24,810. I'm not a dealer but have access to pricing through our company fleet management.

Offer the $15K and see what they say, then go from there if you want it.

I bought my daughter an '11 Cruze when she was leaving for College and it's been a great car.

I think Chevrolet also had sensor issues with the small diesel as well. Might look over the forums on that as well.
