Default Tune in Dallas ? (AMS or RPM)

I am installing a TNT F1 kit this weekend. I already have a partial tune that was done by AMS (Chris Marsh, I believe). I am going to get a full tune, but I was wondering if anyone with or without nitrous has had their car tuned by them and the results. Or should I spend a little more and get it re-tuned by Chris Robinson at RPM ? Chris R. seems to be a highly respected tuner and AMS seems to have some spotty customer issues. Any thoughts or other recommendations ??
Thanks

SpeedWorks in Lewisville has an awesome tuner, his name is James Vickars. He tuned my car and did a great job, I highly reccomend him. Chris Robinson is good also.

I wouldn't go to AMS with what has been posted up here the past week. I would go with another shop just to be safe.

They are a new Sponsor but I see that they do not have a link in the Sponsor list.

Just do a search here in the Texas Section and you will find their contact info.

Peace,
Craig.

Fastech is awesome, was at their facility last week. Very nice. Great guys to deal with up there, they know their junk. They definitely get my vote.

Problems are with the shop...Chris does all the tuning for AMS Hes contract labor through them. Hope that clears a little bit up for you.

Id take a Chris Marsh tune over a locked PCM anyday. CHris R locks his tune and you cant look at it with most of the logging softwares like Autotap...Only with a Tech 2 can you see whats going on in the PCM.

AS far as who to tune it with...All the choices mentioned are good in my book BESIDES Chris R. He uses a special wide band equipped Tech 2 to set AF on the street. many, many times has his A/F ratio been off by a consdierable amount. That can mean night or day in whether or not the motor lives or not. Stick to someone that tunes with a load and a true wideband. I hope you caught my sarcasm with the special Tech 2. They are all the same unit..LOL

Sean, Marsh adn James are all competent tuners to touch these machines in my book. Mine is only one opinion...If you want your computer locked where no one but Robinson can view it then thats your choice.

Regardless of who does the tune for AMS I wouldnt go through them. If Marsh is going to do it I would talk to him directly and not deal with AMS. I never said anything bad about Marsh or his work. Just the way AMS seems to be doing things is the scary part. I have used AMS and never had a problem with them but that all could change the next time I went up there.

Fact is I have heard good things about Chris R and Sean so I would choose one of them

Fastech, Speedworks, AMS, are they all dynotune ?? And V6Bird do you know how to get in touch with Chris M. outside of AMS ? I wouldn't mind him doing the tuning since he was the one that did my partial edit.

V6 Bird is a little upset he blew his first 2 cars he tuned up in two weeks - after he stopped calling me every night asking me questions about how to tune. He's a little upset I quit tuning his car for free but he's a good guy. I've done more guys on the boards around here than anyone for a reason and FYI - it is impossible to "lock" a PCM from using logging software. The tune can't even be locked - it just can't be modified by another tuner. Too many people I did had other people play with the tune and I kept ending up fixing it for free

Well Fastech is my recommendation by far and I will suggest that you stay far away from AMS.

Please explain how cylinder pressure pertains to a tune>? Please explain what can happen when rings are gapped too tight from the factory when you start making alot of power with nitrous? Thanks gimpman! How about that White TA you blew up if you want to attempt at baggin on me.
