Default Spring Break Shootout for everyone?!

Since i work at a track, ill throw it out there, that if you want a sticky track, and a consistent surface to have such event, Texas Raceway would be more then happy to hold such an event. I wouldnt be able to race in the race if that was the case, but you guys would think me for not racing and working the line instead after you were done!

Toss the idea around and Ill put it up in the managements heads and see what we can some up with for you as a racer to hold an event like this at my home track.

I know in the past, Ive been able to put together some event and we not have to put up a "rental" fee as long as we pull the cars.

On a side note, if you want the fastest of the fastest of the cars to come out on one day....Ive already got the date set. The date is March 20th, its a Sunday. If all the fast stuff wants to come out for the Spring Shooutout on that day you are more then welcome to help me turn this into one huge event. I know the Stangs group wont mind. We have our own little grudge with LS1 Vs Stangs up here on that day. Ill extend the invite to the Houston stang and F-body crowd. What do you think of that? The date is already set for this race and if you want to come up and join we can Dub it our Spring Break Shootout? Let me know.

Feedback is appreciated.

We can call it a Mini North Vs South shootout, etc. Since the event was already planned for members of DFWstangs, and there are not just Stangs from that site that post there. I know of a 68 Camaro that runs in a class that requires 28x11.5 Et streets as the only size you can run, some of the guys that post here post there as well.

So bring your boys from the south and we can have a North Vs Shootout. Everyone is welcome and if you guys want to put up $20 per car for a pot or score some $$ runs with another car you see there we can do that too. If you dont want your times shown run NT on the car and you'll be fine. Id like to make this Shootout bigger and badder then the last. Lets do this guys!

I think we need to have an LS1Tech vs DFWStangs Shootout! Bring all the Big Dogs up from Houston and it should be a blast.

Id say we have one of the fastest 1/8's in TX.

With the liability at hand, and rental fees of a 1/4mile track...I thought this would be a good central location for all of the TX boys to come play at. Ennis wants a retarded amount of $$ to rent their facilities.

My track does these things whenever I ask them. My only deal with having us open up is that I have enough people out there to pay the expenses of opening. Ambulance fees, and we have to bring in enough money at the gate to pay the workers to be there. Other then that the rest is up to us. We'd love for their to be alot of folks come out. With a $10 admission and free tech card, there should be plenty of $$ left over to put into a pot--heads up run whatcha brung type race for the North Vs South boys. However you guys want to do it, I will see that we make it happen, but I need the spectatcors and racers to back me on this with their entrie fees to make this happen. I dont want to put up alot of $ for an entry fee or else we may not be able to draw a lot out of towners. Quite frankly, I understand when it comes to wanting to race and not having enough money to cover hotel, gas, entry fee's etc...We want you out at our facility not on the Streets.

Give me some feedback H-town racers.

Not just the Fords but even the Dallas F-bodies. It'd be great to see you guys up here.

If ya'll have a race type format you'd like to setup, by all means post it. If we get some sponsorship for the classes you'd like to see, we can make it happen. I know its not 1/4 mile track, but 1/8 is still fun to watch and race too. Especially and 1/8mile with me on the starting line, trying to break either the car or helping someone break a new personal best.
