Headers????? Alright guys im excited im steppin up and buyin some headers haha, but the problem is , What kinda headers should i get i want some that would make a big *** difference in sound and performance, and i also want somethin that will stay legal and pass inspection if yall could lead me in the right path it would greatly be appreciated.....im goin up to mti this weekend to check out prices ....... Income tax checks are fun

It really depends on how much money you want to spend? 500 to 1500 is an average price.
The popular brands are Kooks and Pacesetter's.

i did alot of research and found some not so good things about flowtechs, i bought coated race pacesetters and couldnt be more happy. they look great and couldnt have fit any easier. no clearancing, cutting, grinding, unbolting of anything.
in my research, i've found the pacesetters to be the only choice if you dont want to spend the money on stainless. they are so cheap, they work great, its hard not to buy 'em.

yeah I have pacesetters on my car and I didn't have to grind or cut anything. The drivers side needed a little banging with a rubber mallot but it wasn't anything difficult. Shop around this site or ebay before going to a performance shop. I was able to get the pacestter headers, off road y with a cut out and magna flow catback for 580. I love driving my car now. that cut out makes a world of difference in sound. ROOM ROOM!

If your going to go with hooker, Id rather just buy flowtechs at Thunder Racing. Very cheap and basically the same design as the hooker. Alot of people on this board will talk badly about them but i have them on my car and have had no problems. Best bang for the buck. Mine sound really good although i dont have cats so yea.

i think i narrowed it down to pacsetter or hooker but i be able to pass inspection as well like i wanna keep my cats so what should i go for im thinkin maybe mid tubes cuz long tubes u have to take of cats but would mid tubes sound good ? compared to long tubes ......and if i did buy long tubes do i HAVE to take of the cats???
