I do mechanical design and drafting, which includes:
-custom tools
-large welded work-holding fixtures (large as in able to hold 50 tons)
-small work-holding fixtures (small with precision to 0.0001 sometimes)
-little "robot" things driving with small (27 & 38mm) electric motors used in ultrasonic testing on pipes and vessels
-A-frame tool boxes (to hold various specialized tool kits for working on gas turbine engines)
-machines to break things (used in DEstructive testing)
-forensic engineering - something broke and they want drawings and 3D models for analysis to support lawsuits
I like what I do, but I do WAY too much of it - anyone need me for a MAXIMUM of 40 - 45 hours per week??
