Hwy 6! Ok who has gotten pulled over on Hwy 6 going to or from College Station? Man this trooper pulled me over said I was going over 70 which I had the cruise set on 70 because no one in there right mind would speed down that road there was a ton of troopers on. He gave me a warning though, thank goodness. He wouldnt tell me how fast over the speed limit I was going though!

I really haven't had a problem with the troopers. Haven't seen many, seen a bunch of county Sheriffs between Waco and CS. One got behind me and a couple trucks while i was almost 3 miles from the county line. but it was all good. i've been averaging between 2hrs and 15 minutes to 2 1/2 hours to go back and forth between Fort Worth and College Station...usually i catch a suburban doing 85 or so.
if it was about 5:15 or so just leaving college station going towards 290 then it was ME. he pulled me over and gave me a ticket for no front license plate. also seen three more on hwy 6 before i hit 290.

I've never really had a problem. See them every once and a while, but my radar usually picks em up a mile ahead. I usually average 90-95 mph from Hwy 105 to College Station. Only see about 1 or 2 each trip on the 20 miles between 105 and CS. That stetch only takes 13 minutes

Yeah I drive back and forth from CS to Houston and average 75-85. Havent been pulled over or even had cops follow me and I have been doing it every other weekend since this past August. Of course I make it a habbit to drive back and forth at night or early morning while its still dark. Cops are definitely bad though in and around CS.

But there are a few cops along that stretch. If you ever go IN to CS, don't even think about speeding. I usually go exactly the speed limit because my radar seems to go off every hundred yards. I believe we have seven or eight different types of police; everything from troopers, to CSPD, to three different constables, to A&M cops, etc. My roommate got a ticket tonight, in fact, for going 43 in a 35 by CSPD.
