I've had my black Whisper lid for 3 years now and no cracks. It's held up through all the header installs(2), cam install, underdrive pulley, etc. I've leaned on it, almost sat on it, and my WS6 of course has a raised lid seat.

I've had mine on for a year and noticed one of the tabs was cracked after removing it for the first time to change the air filter today. Hopefully they can help me out, since i still have the receipt.

Do you have the smooth bellows or the Home Depot bellows? That could be the culpit due to no or little flexibility, making it stress on points of supension on the lid.

mine is over 1 year old, and no problems yet. i have a smooth bellows, Z06 MAF, and the firehawk has the shorter lower airbox, so perhaps that is the difference.
