Default What can we do about the GAS PRICES??

I'm so tired of paying $20.00 and only getting 9 gallons!! Is there any other way to get around this? I used to get like 498 miles per tank. Now I only get like 213. This is with the A/C on of course. It's too hot in Texas not to drive without it ya know? I tried NOS octane booster but it didn't really do much. I did notice though now I can get to 86mph in 3rd gear!! Of course this is only when I double clutch it in 1st. Any ways, back on topic. What do you think if I installed smaller injectors. Would it use as much fuel??

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd run less fuel injectors and then even turn down the fuel pressure. You can unplug a plug or two (spark plugs) and a Injector or two. You should be ok. May lose a tiny bit of power. If it causes problems try slap shifting it helps save fuel a tin bit..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't bumping the timing down on a ls1 allow you to run lower octane gas .Then again, I don't think I would want to put that crap in my engine even if it could handle it. I mention this cause I use to lower the timing on my 93 mustang (when I was a poor ***) during the summer time in order to run low octane. I don't know if this is possible or even a good idea with these newer computerized engines.
